I discovered a good thing when I was looking at the Amazon web page for Finance Monsters.
I was checking to see whether the tiny “thumbnail” made the back cover readable (not really) when I clicked on the “look inside” feature. To my surprise and delight, the inside view starts with the back page and works forward if you’ve flipped the book to view the back cover. What it does is let you read the glossary without buying the book.
The glossary is one of the things I think will give Finance Monsters lasting power. When I was using specialized words or acronyms, I wrote definitions for them. These are real user definitions, designed to help the non-specialist understand the special language.
For those Mind on Money readers who simply want to understand the securitization business better, this feature gives you easy access to almost all the definitions.
